My Radboud at Home – communicate via iPads
My Radboud at Home explores how to improve communications between a patient and specialists at the Radboud University Medical Centre pediatric oncology department. Parents indicated the urgent need to be able to directly contact an oncologist or nurse practitioner via email, phone or a video conference. Young patients just wished they could go online easily to stay connected to friends. iPads are used to explore how to improve and optimize care provided to this group of patients.
This tool is available as a service on the website of Radboud University Medical Centre and helps patients to plan visits of their friends and family interested to come to the hospital. Patients indicated the need to prevent family and friends visiting all at the same time. With this tool visitors can see who is coming when and plan accordingly.
